This is also why corporate America is investing so much into it and robotics. Humans cost a lot of money and aint very good at work. A.i will replace most humans and do things far faster. Making the rich a lot more money.

Instead of creating the bureau of "truth", because people were appalled at the idea of government having a monopoly on all truth, it seems they will use AI instead.

The downside is that unless someone is paid for work done the economy runs out of money. Can't pay off debts with no money. Consider the drug trade. If everyone stopped using drugs the cartels and their empire would collapse overnight.

The U.S. hemorrhages nearly a $Trillion per now. What would the loss of millions of taxpaying workers do to the economy. Never mind the tax revenue. What they would have kept for themselves, saved, spent, invested would also be gone.

I suspect AI could easily do the .gov job my wife had before she retired.

I bet AI won't listen to a bunch of deadbeats whining why they have to pay on their FEMA loan like she had to listen to every day, day after day, year after year.

It would go something like this:

FEMA AI sends out a payment notice, if it's not paid on time then FEMA AI sends it to Treasury.

If not paid on time the Treasury AI automatically sends it to the IRS AI that then rakes back the loan amount from any tax refund till it's paid off.

I welcome our .gov AI overlords......Why it will be sorta like Goodfellas.

AI will create new jobs in the AI sector, so the people who panic over it remind me of the Luddites who thought the printing press would replace humans, when, in reality, it just ended up creating new jobs.
