Talking about those 31 countries, there is only one, that really matters for the Russians. It is the USA. And if the USA is defeated, all others won't fight at all.
And if Sweden, or Lithuania, or Poland decides to do something that wasn't approved (or directly ordered) by the USA, then, of course, the USA won't defend them.
