A man on the FBI’s Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list was arrested Tuesday evening in North Dallas, ending an 11-day manhunt.

Benjamin Song, 32, was taken into custody without incident at an apartment complex along Meadowcreek Drive, the FBI confirmed. He was wanted in connection with the July 4 shooting at the Prairieland Detention Center in Johnson County.

Authorities said Song was armed with a rifle and a pistol at the time of his arrest. Neighbors reported hearing what sounded like gunshots and seeing a large police presence in tactical gear.

“It was bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. Nine, ten. I have no idea how many shots, because once you hear shots going off it’s just I’ve got to get inside,” said Michael Taylor, who watched the arrest from his balcony.



Just the number involved in the attack is a pretty big deal.

Of course the biggest threat we face is from right-wing extremism.....Right, right?
