I was wondering if being traded would motivate Luka to finally get in shape. Looks he did just that, it will be interesting to see how that translates on the court.

I agree that his offense does not, but his defense will improve. And he may be more durable over the course of the long NBA season. He was very injury prone when he was fat.

Disagree. Conditioning matters, especially late in games, and especially in a sport like basketball, which requires excellent cardio.

I suspect it wasn't trading him that motivated his overhaul. I'm going to guess that LeBron James, who is a conditioning monster, probably confronted him and told him to get his ass in shape for real.
