I agree, but I would prefer that locals (states, cities) use some common sense and maintain order, but this obviously isn't happening. The use of federal "oversight" of local laws is a potential route to abuse, and we need to be aware of this. The FBI went all in on the George Floyd case and that was a hot mess. We have to be careful.

The various riots in the Pacific Northwest that were allowed to continue for months which burned entire city blocks, the panic that grips leftist mayors when Trump sends in the National Guard and crime rates drop such as we saw in DC, and the continued weekend slaughter taking place in Chicago and Michigan.
