I'm thinking of maybe writing a book about the role of plumbing in world history.

Just wanna know if it's worth it, first, before I commit myself to doing the research.

How many notably-big to semi-notably-big names in world history have had penchants for being great plumbers?

E. Howard Hunt, Charles Colson and G. Gordon Liddy were known as the White House Plumbers for their involvement with Watergate. Does that count?

Not really what I'm looking for, that.

I mean plumbers in the most literal sense of the word.

I have no doubt that say, Charlie Chaplin once unclogged a sink, and/ or Nikita Khrushchev once fixed a commode, but I'm having trouble right offhand thinking of any who were known for being great plumbers.

It's really a cry for help, this. :D
