They took away your pensions and affordable health insurance and gave you a handicap parking sticker and an electric shopping cart. But they all get great pensions and Cadillac health insurance plans. They paid for it by selling you out to Europe and Asia by moving all the manufacturing jobs there so they could get rich. They gave all these foreign nations wonderful tariff deals so they could wipe out the middle class here. Aren’t these Washington swamp politicians just the greatest thing since sliced bread?

Trump is trying to fix that with mutual tariffs not one-sided tariffs. The swamp is desperately trying to import new voters into the country that will bow to the swamp, but time is an issue. So, all these activist judges are using lawfare to hamstring Trump in his effort to rescue the middle class because the middle class in America is the biggest threat to a one world government that doesn’t recognize a middle class.

If you can’t figure that out it is in on you not the swamp.

Didn't we already lose that trade war with those one-sided tarriffs? Is that not why the middle class has been disappearing?
Actually, we have the strongest economy on earth
Why mess with it?

I would rather compete as part of an economic alliance rather than start trade wars with the world.

It makes no actual economic sense, but it fulfills the misconception held by those who don't know any better that a trade war with tariffs will somehow benefit them. The only way this can be effective is through carefully researched (by economic experts) and targeted tariffs that benefit us economically, not blanket tariffs with a 25% figure that Trump pulled out of his ass.

What ever happened to the Conservative Party?

Gambling with our economy is far from a conservative strategy

Why on Earth would a country stop making things domestically? Why would a country put itself at the mercy of foreign interests? Why would a country allow this to happen? Why is there such a visceral reaction to a president that wants to roll back economic disadvantges? What is really going on?

Why?
Because we live in a global economy.
Our economies are intertwined and you can’t just wish it away.

America will feel the shock of trying to exist alone economically

No, we don't. We live in local economies just like we always have. The rats decided that we are too crude to control our own fates and handed us over to other rats across oceans. Those rats produce nothing and do nothing useful locally. If you want it back you have to take it back and that is what is happening now. The rats will always be on the ship. Do not let them sail the ship.

$38T over-spent. $28T since 09’. Some part not due to theft, waste or incompetence is in trade. We pay military for canada and dirty Mexico too. Can’t go on like that, CBO been saying that since $10T debt.

GOVT Revenue lost by letting all ship good in free while they charge us? Huh? We lose GDP not able to compete.

The initiial plan is not onerous on the poorest countries. Nothing is set in stone. They can negotiate a fair deal. This was a warning shot.

Far too difficult to go item by item, 100s’ of countries involved and you want to try and pick winners and losers? You sound like a lobbyist or a 72,000 page tax code guy. Not fair also. Across the board is best.

Maybe assemble the Iphone outside ATL or CLEVE or do TDS people think America is not capable? Are you saying asian countries/citizens superior? Can we change that?

Deficits don’t matter
A Republican mantra

Did I ever tell ya that all tax cuts pay for themselves?

In 1995 Texas INST was a $13B? semiconductor company with 13 Wafer fabs spread out globally. One in Germany, China etc. also IC assembly sites all over the world.

This setup was as they were shutting things down here? Ugh. Or buying competitors and shipping those products offshore. Stealth outsourcing.

That is just one example. An iconic American industry leading company, mostly offshore. Since 2017, a lot of new growth came back here.

Was it all offshore on cost?
