Tim Allan brought with him experience of working for Sir Tony Blair in the early days of New Labour when he returned to Downing Street last September as part of changes by Sir Keir Starmer to his senior team.

He departs from the role of director of communications little more than five months later "to allow a new No 10 team to be built".

In the process, he becomes the latest high-profile figure to leave Downing Street and the second in less than 24 hours after Morgan McSweeney resigned as Sir Keir's chief of staff
.

The rats are fleeing the worst government the UK has ever experienced since it's formation. Party Scottish Labour leader has called for Starmer's resignation, but he'll hang on to inflict more damage. Labour have achieved in two years what the Tories achieved in 14 years.

Some of us always knew it would end in tears when they collaborated with the establishment to take Corbyn down even though they knew it would lead to Bozo the clown Johnson being elected, that's the problem you clowns don't get or want to., this isn't the labour party that has problems it's the so called New Labour Blair project that Starmer has just continued, Starmer waged a witch hunt in the party against anyone leftwing and surrounded himself with rightwing crawlers, when Corbyn was leader he had several rightwingers in his shadow cabinet to bring the party together.
