Anyone uses Enlightenment?
Enlightenment - Beauty at your fingertips
I have installed it, and it is absolutely fast. The fastest Window manager I have ever worked with [LXDE, XFCE, GNOME, KDE].
My X-Server runs with 57 MB RAM.
Enlightenment atop of X-Server consumes 17 MB RAM.
And it brings effects, no spartan graphic-effects.
The configuration is a bit tricky though. But, configuration is GUI based, no console-shit.
How did I came to Enlightenment?
I am using Pardus Beta2 currently. Fglrx driver for my ATI graphics card does not function, X Server does not start at boot. I tried radeon drivers, and here X server loads Window Manager, but after a while X Server crashes.
Pardus comes default with KDE, so I installed LXDE and looked, if X Server still crashed when using radeon driver. It did.
So I went to Enlightenment, and here somehow X Server runs stable.
It is fast. Fastest.
