I always wondered what happened to the still that the guy who built my house had. He passed a few years back.

LOL....It was a monster that belonged to his granddad. It took up about 25% of his basement!

Wonderful irony -- his last brew was a honey lager, which was ready to consume at just the right time that we were able to toast his life at his memorial.

My dad made beer at home when I was in high school. I did not then like the taste of beer, but his friends loved it. Dad and Mom quit drinking for a long time prior to their dying. Sure miss both.

Very satisfying pastime.

My sister had an amazing garden and grew about 50 feet of raspberry canes, and made prodigious amounts of raspberry wine. I didn't care for it because it was too sweet, but her neighbors were crazy about it. Neither she nor her husband were drinkers, so there was plenty of it!
