Edwin Diaz signs with the dodgers

It was already any embarrassment of riches before this signing. Now they got the best closer in baseball. This sports desperately needs a salary cap.
Golly gee, I dunno, do you think they have a shot at the play offs again this year?

The Mets? Probably not. I wanted them to get Kyle Schwarber and re-sign Diaz. Not looking good.
No silly, I meant the Dodgers.

We all know there is no help for the Mets no matter how much money they spend. It's just common knowledge is all.

Having said that, will the Dodgers have a shot at the playoffs again next year with their new pitcher?

The dodgers are the prohibitive favorites to win the World Series.

Forget the salary cap. It is nonsense to see all this parity. I want a dominant team to root against. That also brings in fans. And if you are lucky enough, then you just might be that dominant team.

Now the best pitcher in the American League, Tarik Skubal, is also very close to becoming a Dodger.

The NL All-Star team is going to be made up of all Dodgers before long.

Enjoy baseball in 2026 because we aren't going to have it in 2027.

It is tough to be fans of teams that never stand a chance or can have a few good years competing due to having aced the draft, made outstanding trades and signed free agent players that are affordable who play lights out. And that will get you into the playoffs. To win it all your team then has to be hot as hell. As an example, how much of a chance can Milwaukee have to win a World Series or more if they do not have the local broadcast contract that is compatible with the richer teams.

Mets are a joke again

The Dodgers are paying two relievers more than some teams spend on their whole rotation.

The Dodgers are also angling for another Japanese phenom Murakami who is a power hitter 3rd baseman. The Dodgers are literally making a mockery out of MLB parity.
If you’re not going to have a salary cap, at least don’t allow them to defer payments to their players.
