The Chinese don't make you watch a video before they give you a few squares of TP because they are totalitarians who clearly failed toilet training.

The Chinese make you watch a video because if they just gave people free toilet paper, people would steal the entire roll. Because Chinese people will take anything and everything that's free and or not nailed down. It's why they don't put out napkins or have salt or pepper shakers in most Chinese restaurants.
