I was thinking the other day that at some point, someone is going to build a drill that can be continually extended and break through every substance on earth. They will drill, continuously extend it further by man by adding on to the drill on the earths surface until eventually.at some point it reaches the earths core. It will take some time and effort but, what will happen once this occurs and the drill reaches what is what we predict to be a molten core? Might we actually be able to.somehow cause the meltdown or explosion of the earth either interntionally or by accident?dynamo effect, swirling tornado like convection currents which require liquid, but as luck would have it the steel in the outer core is melted because its super hot from the radioactive decay of the heavy elements that sink into the core, anyways those currents that circulate heat create the magnetic field lines in the picture. how many of you are believing this?
I was always told that they can reach about six miles before its too hot to drill? have you heard of another technique recently?
No, but I did see that China had dug really deep holes, not sure how many miles down.
