Teenagers can legally get loaded in most of the continent, but the USA requires drinkers to be 21 or older.

Should President Trump change the age to please the libs and imitate the Eurotrash that they so idolize?

Should adolescents understand the experience of being intoxicated in controlled settings ?

To which libertarians ( libs ) are you referring , is it the economic libertarians ( fiscal liberals ) , aka free market capitalists , or is it civil libertarians ( social liberals ) ?

The government has no problem sending children to war, but the rest they simply want to control and keep children forever.

It was 18 here in the superior to all State of Texas in my youth. It went up to 21 as the insurance companies and MADD mothers badgered the legislature in the late 1970’s.

Zilch effect on use or abuse or drunk driving statistics.

If you're having a sit down meal as a family, a kid can have a lager or cider etc.. whilst having a meal, but it's discretionary on the restaurant/pub owner, but within the law. We can walk down the street supping a can of lager.

What's this about America Land of the Free malarkey!!

I favor an age of adulthood that covers everything. Drinking, voting, signing contracts, going to war.

As slow as kids mature today, it should be 25.

The draft and voting set the age. Unless you change the Constitution, 18 for everything.

And go back to letting parents run their kids lives before they are 18.

And they used an end run around the 21st amendment by tying highway funds to the drinking age, a connection which should be another one of the challenges the current SC should see.

I was once called by a MADD respresentative to make a donation. It was just a hired hand, probably a college kid working in a phone center.
By the end of the conversation, I had convinced him that MADD was wrong on virtually every issue .

They hypocrisy of a government being able to send a kid to war when he can't even legally buy a drink has always burned me up. I felt that way when I was a kid (we could buy 3.2 beer at 18 back then) and it's worse now. I think it's absurd.
