It sucks to replace...and when the new one and the old one on the other side don't match, the Missus will make you replace the other one too...on the farm truck...😕

Never. I'm going the other way. The one I'm working on now is a '74 white Uncle Jessie F100.

Not this one...currently rougher...but otherwise identical.
Stay away from those F-100s they are expensive. I have a 2003 F-150.

I've had a mess of them over the years. Recently the prices have gone out of sight. Used to be you could buy one any day of the week for $750-$1000.

Those days are gone. Couldn't find one with a 300 inline 6, which is my preference. This one was a 302.

Nothing at all wrong with a 2003...but it's actually outside my mechanical knowledge. This '89 is all the computers and relays I can handle and then some. I'm of the era of vacuum advance, carburetion, points and condensers, timing lights and adjustable valves.

IOW...the days before a computer told you what was wrong...you'd just put you ear to it and listen.
