The Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, spoke to the Press today about documents and an assessment released by her agency standing for the proposition that the Obama administration and the Biden administration and members of the FBI totally fabricated this connection between Russia and then Presidential candidate, Donald Trump. Of course as history has revealed mistakes and errors were made but contrary to the assertions by the current DNI there was no grand conspiracy by Democrat and FBI leaders to allege collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians and specifically Vladimir Putin. The truth of the matter is that the nature of the interference in the 2016 Presidential election and Donald Trump's response to it demand's Donald Trump take some responsibility for the painting of him as in collusion with Russia in this interference. The hacking of the emails from the Democrat National Committee and John Podesta Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign Chief of Staff were damning; the DNC emails showed the DNC had a preferred outcome in the campaign race, Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders and were actively working to orchestrate this outcome and the Podesta e-mails revealed a cold calculating establishment Democrat leader in a campaign where the voters were looking for change. The DNI seems to play down this smoking gun and this should not fly with the American people! Multiple government investigative arms concluded that it was Russian agents that conducted the hacking and disclosure. Donald Trump's refusal to accept the widespread intelligence assessments that Russia was behind the hacks and the hacks effect of hurting the Hillary Clinton campaign. Donald Trump's own statements during the campaign that there is an additional bomb to be dropped from the hacked e-mails implying he knows who is behind it, Donald Trump's close associate Roger Stone mouthing off that he knows a lot about the hacks. Donald Trump's vast business activity where it would be very possible Donald Trump's businesses had borrowed lots of money from one or more significant Russian citizens and Donald Trump's failure to be open about his finances so the public could see he wasn't in to the Russians big and Donald Trump's meddling in the investigation where he was teasing firing the FBI Director James Comey why would he do that if he didn't have something to hide? The Democrat leaders involved made reasonable deductions based on the facts the situation that they were wrong about Donald Trump's involvement with the Russian interference doesn't mean they breached any duty or were criminal. The DNI and the White House Press Secretary keep referencing the debunked Steel dossier, the FBI made a huge error in not investigating the dossier's allegations but the author of the Dossier Mr. Steele was an intelligence asset that America's Security Services used before successfully. The fact that the Dossier was used to get a warrant on Carter Page an advisor to the Trump campaign should not be that alarming because Carter Page was an unsavory character who himself teased that it could be possible he was or would be working for the Russian government, bottom line without the Dossier the FBI should still have been able to get the warrant maybe not for the extended length of time but for some period. The bottom line here is what this is all about is that Donald Trump is currently experiencing an obsession to make the characters involved in the investigation of Donald Trump and Russia pay for their role and it is an example of Donald Trump's thin skin and his extreme narcissism where he cannot be seen to make mistakes or do anything wrong; a real irony here is these criminal referrals by the White House for James Comey, James Clapper and others is a hoax and a big waste of time and money by the Federal government which Donald Trump in the past has repeatedly condemned!
