Hasn’t been a Yankees vs Dodger series in 40 yearsWhat were the odds of that I wonder?
Wow.Hasn’t been a Yankees vs Dodger series in 40 years
its more like Betts and Edmon vs Stanton and Soto....Finally, we have a Dodgers vs Yankees World Series!
Ohtani vs Judge!
Go Dodgers!
the Mets and Cleveland had plenty of chances...Oh look everyone, two teams that have more money to spend on their team than God has to spend are in the world series
What were the odds of that I wonder?
bullshit....neither one has been there that many times....so which team has been to the WS 14x since 81?..Wow.
Not as impressive considering some teams have never made it there.
Now how many times have both teams been to the World Series in the last 40 years?
Since that world series one of those ball clubs have been there 14 times.
I have done the maththe Mets and Cleveland had plenty of chances...
half the team?....the yankees and dodgers each had 1 .300 hitter....I have done the math
If you take all the MLB teams and split them in half according to salary paid, your will find that the top half all have winning seasons except for about 6 or so teams
And if you do the same with the lower half, they all have losing seasons except 6 or so teams.
It essentially means that you can position yourself for a playoff run pretty much every year if you spend enough money.
Naturally, when half your team bats around 300 when a lot of teams don't have one player that bats that well, that helps too.
I won't be watching the World Series, but I'm sure the ratings will be good anyway because that is what the media wants, it wants teams in areas that will give big ratings like New York and LA.
Money is all that matters.
Team batting averages are down due to better pitching across the league, but teams like the Dodgers have about 4 players batting above 280, which is essentially a 300 average hitter 10 years ago.half the team?....the yankees and dodgers each had 1 .300 hitter....
lol now its .280?.....the last time they played in the series was 43 years ago....some rematch...Team batting averages are down due to better pitching across the league, but teams like the Dodgers have about 4 players batting above 280, which is essentially a 300 average hitter 10 years ago.
As for the Yankees, they don't have as many but nor do they have someone hitting over 320 for the season with a gazillion home runs and some of the best pitching in baseball to boot.
All I can say is enjoy your little World Series rematch..................again.
I'm sure it won't be the last one.
Looks like both blue city teams want to destroy the world with carbon emissions. or they could do the right thing and cancel the world series altogether. That's a lot of pollution jetting them from one coast to the other.....Why, you would think they are John Kerry.
yea thats their goal votto.....Looks like both blue city teams want to destroy the world with carbon emissions. or they could do the right thing and cancel the world series altogether.
But as we all know, what they want to do is always and will always be the exception to the rule.
I predict Dodgers in 6.It will be shown on MLB and FOX channel. I will get to see some games. It should be an exciting series. I predict Dodgers in 7.
