Do you know anyone who started working at 50 years of age or later?

How did they adopt to a sudden life change? Job market for me is an uncharted sea.

I would be happy earning $10-$12 per hour and working 15-20 hours per week. I have no transportation.

I can in fact prove my Asperger's Syndrome and Depression.

I was supposed to learn the World of Jobs at age 18-25. Now at age 53, I am in crisis.

Maybe a few congressmen/senators but not many for sure.

I think your issues might prevent this.......but how about a school bus driver...in my area they start school bus drivers at 20 dollars an hour, 20 hours a week guaranteed, plus extra money from charters if you want...and a 5,000 dollar sign on bonus paid out over your first year............and a lot of these bus companies have local bus depots............they are all hard up for drivers as well.....so they might work out getting you to and from work.

The good thing about driving a bus, you can do it as a senior citizen....I have seen drivers who are very old.....look around next time you are out during the school year and check out the people driving those buses.....they are not spring chickens......

Looking up some of the qualifications, you have to have had a drivers license and clean record for 3 years.......at least here in Illinois....

Good luck.

That would likely be one of the most difficult job I could imagine for anyone, let alone someone not used to working.

You have more than a classroom full of kids geared up after school....BEHIND you....arguing, fighting, etc....in a MOVING vehicle.

The reason they offer $20/hour is because it's a difficult job with high responsibility.

Yes, it can be a tough job but I have a friend who drives a school bus and they point out that there are 70 year old people driving for their company…….They have a split shift, don’t drive on the weekends, get all the school holidays off, and at the place they drive out of there is extra work doing field trips, driving sports teams and other groups they drive for if they want extra money……..

20 dollars is starting pay too…it goes up each year……..

Also, I do not have a drivers license, and I will never be able to drive due to Asperger's Syndrome.

I don't know if this will help or not but I am 63 and retired a few years ago with a nice retirement so I just looked for something fun. I work at the zoo in the city near me. Everyone is nice. Lots of animals. I know I work with a couple of people who get reasonable accommodations, and genuinely have fun. I think I make like $13. But again very nice atomsphere, the dolphins come to our meetings and watch through the underwater windows.

Just search for customer service work at home jobs there are all different types of customer service jobs just read the ad and see if it's work at home.

Also, you could get a social worker from the State and they can help find free work training for you. I used to work for the State they have alot of resources.
