Lakers-Celtics rivalry nod for tonight's televised '24-25 season game. Cool,

====
I think there's good and many a-reason to think this LA-Boston rivalry is still kicking with good vibes, and I think it can feel like it goes beyond the 2008 or 2010 NBA Finals theater, and I honestly rooted for Kobe in '10, despite being more a Celtics fan overall. That's my word for my Selfie-era (ha).

Growing up on video-games and street play and school gym play and later just neighborhood adult-life horse/play, it's fun to think of yourself likened to these great pros and looking at media/society imagery for Lakers-Celtics rivalry magic and superstitions. It's a time in this '24-25 season when many eye the knack of former Duke 3-point shooting legend Redick to coach/guide a new-gen LA team harnessing teamwork sparks between Davis and LeBron (right?). It's video-game stuff!
Of course, as a Celtics fan overall, loving timeless legends of the Boston force like McHale and Paul Pierce (among others), I want to see the Celtics stamp in their special high-rank in the '24-25 season, and though I feel some sentiment for LA, given I'm an avid Duke ball fan, I'd like to see Boston place another token in this timeless theater, and I'd like to see a close scoreline. Who wants a blowout, man (not me)?
Redick is a great young 'face' in the modern pro-sports environment for TV-audiences and my Selfie-era. It's all fantasy. Duke's like incredible. What a turn for JJ to take over the Lakers, who'd been marshaled by Phil Jackson and Pat Reily too. This is video-game stuff for kids (and juries). No?
"If you're afraid to fail, you're probably going to fail" (Kobe)
"The Boston Celtics are not a basketball team, they are a way of life" (Red Auerbach).
