Did anyone try to scale down the towers during 9/11?

Yes actually. One man bravely did. He started descending around 9:40am from the north tower near the impact zone. He made it down around 20 stories, absolutely no small feat.

I don't mean this as any disrespect to the victims, but at the 20 year mark I had to stop watching all of the shows about 9/11. I just couldn't keep going back to these nightmare scenes.....esp people jumping

I’d never thought of someone scaling that building till now, when the article showed up on my inbox.

The jumping was heartbreaking.

Or maybe some sort of exit steps on the outside of the building.

A bit far fetched l know.
Although the people above that fire never stood a chance.
In NYC they'd arrest you for base-jumping in the city limits.
Pretty sure they would overlook it if jumping from a burning building.
Guess I would gladly pay the fine rather than be burned alive.

Maybe back in 2001, but these days it all would depend on if you voted for Trump or not.
Seems that the left has gone off the rails......and all they want to do is cause trouble.
