I have no doubt that laws were broken, but I also wonder if anyone will actually be convicted of anything and even if so will they get anything more than a slap on the wrist. I remember the lawyer that flat out lied to the FISA court and essentially wasn't punished, so there's really no deterrent. Investigations will be done and indictments issued in some cases, but a conviction seems unlikely these days unless it's a repub facing a democrat judge.

I will say this, when he was in government I really respected Nunes in the time I heard him speak and make arguments. He seemed to me to be uniquely principled in his beliefs, a firm believer in the rule of law and civil rights.

That's difficult to find. It's akin to finding a pro-bono lawyer who will fight for human rights.
