Many countries are named after the people of the conqueror or just get power thrue different institutes. For example, France is Celtica enslaved by the Franks, Finland is the land of the Sami, which was ruled by the Finns (and they themselves do not call their country Finland), the name Russia comes from the name of the German people Rus, Germany is the Avars and Celts under the rule of the Germans. Most of Afghanistan is South Turkestan, and it is not known how Afghans appeared there at all.
And so on

Since these are now free states, and peoples not slaves, they should drop these names, what do you think?
