Gosh, I would NEVER lie to my husband or anyone else for that matter. I would feel terrible if I lied to anyone about anything. I just don't lie. If I don't want to respond to a question, I have on occasion, smiled and said, "ask me no questions I tell you no lies." If I lied to another in order to give them a false impression, I would feel a betrayal to me, to my values. And THAT is just not going to happen.
