Deion Sanders rumored to be the next Cowboys coach. Do you believe it?

I don't buy it. Deion knows who Jerry Jones is and how he runs the Cowboys. The Cowboys will never be good again until Jerry Jones is out of the picture, just like the Redskins had to get rid of Snyder.
It's absurd. This is the kind of decision that Jerry Jones would make.

There has to be better options out there.

I don’t think Jerry Jones would hire him.

Are you kidding? jones would likely offer oral sex to Deion to get his moxie, popularity, controversy, and charisma on his team

Thanks now I have the image of Jones blowing Deion in my head.

It would be absurd for Deion imo. Jerry Jones is the problem in Dallas and will be until he is not the owner.
He puts a lot of money into his team.....but it seems either he's not hiring the right people or he's constantly interfering in the decision making process.

I think if he finds the right coach and GM he'll be alright.

The problem in Dallas is that Jerry thinks he's a good GM. Jerry is listed as the GM on the Cowboys website

I dont imagine he's firing himself any time soon

Deion has total control at Colorado. I doubt he wants to go to NFL. He' be fighting GM and owner and DPP etc.. He doesn't have to do that at Colorado. He is the pope at Colorado. He won't be in the NFL.

The new Dallas HC is beholden to the contract just given to Dak. Right there, that's a huge problem. Dak is a disaster and they cannot get rid of him.

Again, if he can find a decent coach and GM he may be able to do something.
He’s the GM and he THINKS he’s a good one. That’s the problem. To be fair to Jerry he’s done pretty well in the draft he’s just not very good at managing the contracts of his players after that. Do you think there’s any chance Jerry gives up his role as the GM? Even if he were willing to make someone else the GM it would end up being in name only and everyone knows it so no GM prospect worth a shit is going to sign up for that let alone an established known quantity good GM.

If you noticed on New England, Bill Beleck didn't do much after Tom Brady moved on. But New England has always had well coached teams. Their weakness was player personnel. But when you're always going to the playoffs you usually end up getting the scraps that other teams pass on.

Dallas didn't do much till they got the 3 headed monster, Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin. But their offensive and defensive lines that controlled the trenches. Anyone who knows football knows that football is won or lost in the trenches.

Greatness revolves around Defense. KC is dominant because of their Defensive Line. It also helps that they have Patrick Mahomes. They also have great coaches and a GM that knows how to find talent.
