Comparing Trump Assassination attempt with Hitler assassination attempt of July 1944

This one is merely food for thought. I'm a Christian. But do I believe that God has a hand in everything that happens on this planet? No, not really.
I have heard people saying, that it must have been God who protected Trump by having him turn his head at the last possible moment.
My response to that is, did God also protect Adolf Hitler when he survived the bomb plot on 7/20/44, 4 of his people were killed in that one, but the war dragged on another 9 months, more misery for Europe, more death and destruction. Why wasn't Hitler killed when the war might have been stopped?
