Old commie Noam Chomsky also denied the Cambodian, Bosnian, Kosovo and Rwandan genocides until the bitter end, calling reports of them "Western anti-communist/imperialist propaganda" and saying recognizing them as genocides was an "insult" to the victims of the Holocaust.
He did eventually change his mind about but Cambodia but he never apologized and pulled some "I was right based on available evidence" type bullshit.
