I mean, this is pretty clear. Dems used to be strong on national defense and economic prosperity ... decades ago. But they wanted everyone to be treated equally and fairly notwithstanding how much money they had in their bank accounts. However, when the old school liberal Dems used to lay their heads down on their pillows each night, they were still Americans through and through. Then they started into the collectivism crap, prompted by Marxist prompting. Today they are more concerned about a tranny getting his feelings hurt over someone not using correct pronouns, or a poor Mexican rapist getting deported, than they are about national defense and economic prosperity. Oh, and if you misgender a freak or suggest that our existing federal immigration laws should be enforced, then you are a Hitler.
Today's Democrats cannot claim to be patriotic Americans. They just aren't. They are opportunistic politicians who will say and do anything to attain and hold power. Power is where the money is in politic, and they are more than willing to sell us out for power and money. The Gen Z kiddies will fall for this crap because they are too young to remember communism's failures and, frankly, too ignorant. But they will grow up eventually. Not all the Gen Z-ers are so gullible, but many are. The Gen Y and millennials have, unfortunately, not exactly grown up, though. My Gen X generation seems to be the last generation where American patriotism was widespread. When I was 20, we would roll our eyes over notions of "thought police" and other PC nonsense.
Thankfully, there is still a certain degree of hold that organized religion has on people in America. This keeps the entirety of some generations from believing that killing unborn babies, cutting off your reproductive parts, and promoting anarchy are ok. In addition, we have parental influence. Also, while the left controls the legacy media, with the advent of the internet, there is a plethora now of conservative media that is, in fact, making a difference in the fight to sustain our republic.
