The Trump Organization was hit with $1.6 million in fines Friday when a New York judge sentenced it for running a 15-year tax fraud scheme that prosecutors said top executives at the company orchestrated out of pure greed.

Trump Corp. and Trump Payroll Corp. — both subsidiaries of the Trump Organization — were convicted last month on 17 counts, including conspiracy, criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records.

Commentary:
Justice served. Now perhaps Jake Tapper will no longer have that smug look on his face of disdain when reporting matters concerning Trump and other conservatives and will think twice about how they cover the news. We can now hope for massive Punitive Damages.
Guess the Nick Sandman case was a suit that should’ve taught them a lesson. Since this is their second offense the punishment should be even more severe.
CNN has a big wound and it is about to get bigger. The damages are significant. If any indication of the punitive damages to come, they will be huge. The jury is obviously not happy. Damages are determined with a calculator. Punitive damages can be arbitrary and meant to send a message. No sympathy for CNN. They have earned every bit of what is coming their way.
