They admitted the mistake and withdrew the pictures

“Friday evening and on Saturday, CNN aired a number of segments that briefly showed an image of former President Donald Trump and Laura Loomer taken from social media,” said a CNN host. “Upon review, this image had been digitally altered by a third party and should not have been included. We regret the error.”

so the question is who altered the photos? CNN say they took the pictures from social media

In another post, Loomer criticized Cooper for not personally apologizing and demanded a written retraction on X, stating, “If you do not issue a retraction in writing on X... I will sue you.”
