this guy blew 6 calls bringing his total to 20 He's been hated for years
DEI hire

The call was so bad that both Rays manager Kevin Cash and Brewers manager Pat Murphy were exchanging laughs from opposite dugouts in the aftermath. The Brewers broadcast, meanwhile, was perplexed. Play-by-play announcer Jeff Levering’s reaction to the replay:

“I think that is a horrendous call. Where is C.B. Bucknor looking?… C.B. Bucknor wasn’t even looking at the play.”

I read that there were already 78 ABS asks against him, and he was wrong on every single one. EDIT: I just looked for that tweet and it has a community note attached saying it was false. But he still sucks.

I kind of wish that Angel Hernandez was still umpiring. Joe West, too!

He's a shitty ump, but I don't want anything bad to happen to him. This hit hard.

I dunno Jim Rome quoted this story on his show

We are going to realize, finally, that most of these umprires are obsolete. As a fan, you only hoped the home plate umpire got as many calls wrong for both teams as they did for the team you rooted for.
