But it's not backing Trump either.

I'm guessing Patrick Soon-Shiong refuses to back Trump because he didn't get a DC job when Trump was last in office.

No newspaper should endorse a hopeful.....Their job is to report the news, not to make it.

Interesting comment. The only thing I might note is all papers have an opinion/commentary section where articles get posted doing just that.

But yeah, maybe it isn't wise to make an official endorsement but if the editor wants to post an editorial, not sure what one can do about that.

We have devolved to the point where a paper not endorsing a hopeful is now "news".....There's something basically wrong with that.

But yeah, there's little to be done about it due to the total lack of integrity in journalism.
