Not just US politicians any interesting politician of the 18th,19th,20th and 21st centuries. I love to read about them,what got them started in politics etc.

People become politicians for several reasons.

They crave power
They are narcissists
They want to become rich by living by a different set of rules than the rest of us.

Hence there is nothing worth knowing about any politician.
