In their panic and hysteria to get the USA to drag down its economy, the AGWCult has taken to inventing new and hysterical “weather events”. Bomb cyclones and atmospheric rivers never existed until a few years ago. The AGWCult using their CCP and NGO funding made up imaginary weather events

All I can do is laugh

Bomb cyclone to focus most of its furious snow on Carolinas

Come on, man. The term got popularized a few years back but the meteorologists have been using it for decades.

The reason it got more use is becuase they are happening far more often these days thanks to...

Drum roll please.....

GLOBAL WARNING!!!

GLOBAL WARNING!!!
It’s a made up phrase

Gotta pump those ratings up.

Remember when The Weather Channel just gave forecasts before they became "climate change" warriors and a bunch of harpy women took it over?

Both those terms have scientific definitions ... but that doesn't mean the commercial press isn't misusing the phrases for financial profit ... Accuweather isn't the worst offender but they still offend ... they use these terms because they're PAID to use these terms ...

Old Speak is "rapidly intensifying storm" ... New Speak is "Bomb Cyclone" ... which instills more fear into the gullible public? ...

Atmospheric River is a little more difficult ... the old name of Pineapple Express was something of a misnomer ... not all of them come directly from the Hawaiian Islands ... I'm not aware of the term being used anywhere except the Pacific Coast ... where they occur regularly ... just not as often as the commercial press claims ...

True Atmospheric Rivers have a very distinct form on satellite imagery ... a fairly straight line of clouds from Hawaii to California ... whereas a normal cyclone is shaped like a comma, and an arc of clouds past across onto land ...

For example ... Christmas flood of 1964 - Wikipedia ...

"Over 22 inches (550 mm) of rain fell on the Eel River [California] basin in a span of two days. By December 23, 752,000 cubic feet per second of water rushed down the Eel River at Scotia" ... [the Mississippi River averages ≈ 600,000 cu ft per sec] ...

My point is that "Bomb cyclones and atmospheric rivers" are as fictional as the accurate to a tenth of a degree 1850 temperature dataset

Yeah ... and Kerr County camp supervisors agree ... these weather warnings are safely ignored ...

Here's a great video of Hurricane Harvey (2017) using Doppler Radar ... I believe Harvey is bombing at the beginning, but that becomes clearer as Harvey approaches the coast ... then continue watching as a series of atmospheric rivers form bringing major flooding to Houston ... narrow bands of heavy rain moving on shore ...

If you want to call these Pineapple Expresses ... you have my permission ... sounds kinda funny coming from the Gulf of Mexico ... but that's just me I guess ...

WTF is wrong with you bringing up Kerr county?

Stuck you up ... big boy ... that's right ... your attitude here stinks to high heaven ... the weather service uses words to WARN people of impeding tragedy ... "Category 5 Hurricane" ... "Tornado Watch" ... "Atmospheric River" ... "Flash Flood Warming" ... weather that kills ...

By calling this fraudulent ... you kill all those children again ... what the **** is wrong with you ... (note the spelting of the adult word you seem to like using) ...

I agree with the term Bomb Cyclone ... although you'll have to explain to me why that would confuse an 8-year-old child ...

I still call them Pineapple Expresses ... the air smells like Hawaii ... but I agree the term Atmospheric River is scientifically correct ... anyone who's actually experienced an strong 'Express wouldn't be confused by the new name ...

Your continued denials just kill those children all over again ... over a damn name ... and you think I need meds? ... "one speaks their own judgement one way or another" ...
