As he said respectfully "because it's the right thing to do". He makes Israelis look honourable while other so-called "allies" have an impulse to be offensive towards the tariffs even as America has defended them (cough, cough, EU) for decades and been the world police keeping us all safe at night.
A small nation like Israel sent their leader and he happily stated his position. Now in the end I'm sure Israel, like Japan and others who are staunch U.S allies will receive priority in the queue. He probably told Bibi, "I appreciate your interest in doing this and we will get it done", but the tariffs will probably have to stay on for a little while until they get it written up fairly.
Israel needs America and the West needs a strong Israel with Jewish beliefs and values to shine on civilization. Focus on the allies first and the most egregious enemies should not be funded by America. If Israel can do this all nations can, and go further if they are a larger economic power.
If Japan buys, invests and genuinely breaks down barriers, ditto for S Korea, Germany, England etc, then the world will be in a better place. We can't keep rewarding slave labor, we just cannot. If we do, the same will be expected of us as workers in the West. We've already seen remnants on this over the last couple of decades and it's not good for the spirit of Western unity. It opens up the door for people to sell out their country out of spite and resentment
