Berlin marks 50 years since the building of the Wall

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel is attending ceremonies to mark 50 years since the building of the Berlin Wall.

The event will take place on Bernauer Strasse - a street which was split down the middle by the wall which separated the east and west of the city.
