The mainstream media managed not to make a big story about Bergdhal's guilty plea for desertion and now only CNN seems to be aware that Bergdahl's sentencing was put off again because President Trump called him a traitor. Wasn't he a traitor? In any discussion about Bergdahl you have to note president Obama's insult to the U.S. Military by inviting Berghdahl's parents to the White House. You also have to question the intelligence of Army generals when Berghdahl was promoted from Private to Sergeant while he was AWOL and allegedly deserted from his post.

Probably none of them knew that at the time.

When someone is a POW and there's proof they're alive, they get promoted inabsentia. I have an old friend who was captured in Korea as a Sergeant and 2 1/2 years later when he was repatriated, found out he was a Master Sergeant. In effect, the Army had to promote Bergdahl. He'll be a slick sleeve when he reports to Leavenworth.

Trump was not potus then. His opinion is like everyone elses. An opinion. Should have no bearing whatsoever on Bergdahl having a fair trial. Since when does Trump as Potus have any leeway anyway? His orders are mostly ignored..like the ban on muslim countries entering ours and some idiot judge decides to do as he pleases instead of what POTUS says. So, this delaying is bullshit. The asshole is a traitor. Do the damn trial and get it over with.

There was no evidence that Bergdahl was a POW and in fact there was ample evidence that he deserted his post in the face of the enemy. Wouldn't you think the fat asses in the cocktail party circuit in the Pentagon would hold up Private Bergdhal's promotion pending a review of his case?

This freakin Bergdahl circus is taking way too long.

He should have been charged, given a trial, and sentenced, in 90 days or less. ....
