I pick the Tribe to win it all, that bull pen is the best in baseball

Yankees, I hate them, everyone hates them, which means they will win

Padres, they will send the Dodger satanic nuns into the eternal never ending abyss as the world sits in wonder on how they could spend more money than God every year and not win a world series. Hilarious.

Phillies. These are the Mets after all. Sure, they spent the most money in baseball, but they are still the Mets, which means they will lose.

I'm going with my "feelings" too.

Tigers because I'm in Detroit
Royals to upset the overpaid Yankees

Dodgers have the greatest player in MLB history
Go Mets

Again, I don't watch baseball. My brother and nephew tell me we're seeing the GOAT.

Willie Mays' case as baseball's GOAT: 24-time MLB All-Star was the perfect five-tool superstar.Jun 18, 2024

And he wasn't a great pitcher.

Ohtani certainly has the qualifications to make it happen if he continues to shine.

So you're saying he's like Patrick Mahomes.

Baseball is different. You have to win championshps in football to be considered the GOAT. That's how it's measured. That and individual talent. Maybe one exception. Barry Sanders. The GOAT running back who doesn't have a Superbowl ring.

But in baseball, does he have to win rings to be considered the GOAT?

I asked who the GOAT was and Willie Mays' name came up. No ring.

  • Mike Piazza: A 12-time All-Star who hit a record 396 home runs as a catcher. He went to the playoffs five times but his bat cooled in October. Piazza was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2016.

  • Ernie Banks: Played shortstop for 19 years and reinvented the position. Banks never made the postseason because there were no wild cards or extra rounds.

  • Willie Mays: Known as the "Say Hey Kid", Mays is considered by many to be the best baseball player in history.

  • Tony Gwynn: Played for 20 seasons from 1982–2001.

  • Ken Griffey Jr. A distinguished career.

  • Barry Bonds: A distinguished career.

  • Ted Williams: A distinguished career.

  • Ty Cobb: A distinguished career.

  • Ichiro Suzuki: Played for 19 seasons from 2001–2019.

  • Juan Marichal: Played for 16 seasons from 1960–1975.

so why wouldnt stats matter in football?....if a QB has stats that bury everyone but he never won a SB, why couldnt he be considered at least the best QB ever?...some great players play on shitty teams......

It must be because a QB has a lot more control over wins and loses than a baseball player who can only pitch every 3 or 4 games and only bat 1 out of 9 other players. 1 great baseball player can't carry a team.

Hey, I heard all the former Jet's QB's in football are all doing well on other teams? I'll have to go look into that. I heard it yesterday. So Bret Favre can only do so much. It's crazy Brady got it done 7 times and it should have been 8. The undefeated year they lost to Eli Manning's Giants in the Superbowl? That was Randy Moss Karma. LOL.

The Tigers had Verlander and Max Sherzer at the same damn time. How did we not win it all? We didn't have a closer. It's like a great QB losing because his kicker sucks.

Oh, never mind. Brady will remain the goat just based on this I just found

Mahomes went 3-3 in his six career starts against Brady, going 1-2 against him while he was on the Patriots and 2-1 against him during his final seasons in Tampa Bay. In the playoffs, however, Mahomes was 0-2 against Brady, losing to him in the AFC championship game in 2019 and in the Super Bowl in 2021
