Artichokes

I have always preferred artichokes when I discovered them as a boy. It is a thistle, and when prepared are very soft to the palate. A glass of wine and a sauce (or even just mayonnaise and a small bowl of cucumbeers, and I am good for dinner.

Too much work to prepare, but delicious.
