I get the analogy. I think it's a bit more like permanent ROM vs modifiable ROM. There are examples of hardcore Democrats, Tammy Bruce for example, who eventually saw the light and is now Republican and a contributor to Fox News and her own show.

People like these Green Members, are so emotional. What will they do when Trump eventually fails or leaves office and Democrats are suddenly in power? Democrats handed new precedents set for Congressional knee bending to a Leader, and new views on presidential powers?
