If you have, I need reviews. I might lurk out on my own and see the movie if I can find a theatre. It's Canada and thus I might be put on another Watch List if I see this in the theatres but I'm willing to take the chance :) Reagan is the prototype for a successful pro-American president and we all miss him dearly.

Anyone see it? Is it worth seeing?

Awful man. Awful movie. It’s pretty hilarious how the real critics panned it bc it was trash, but all these right wing nuts who never saw any of it are giving 5 stars. Lies are what republicans like to do best.

Saw it last night. We thought it was outstanding, but we're huge Reagan fans.

LOL "real critics" LOL

Conservatives have a way of flooding review sites with five star reviews on Conservative movies and one star reviews for liberal movies.

Whether they have seen the movie or not

I can’t see Ronald Reagan when looking at Dennis Quaid. I’ll pass

Reagan was an outstanding president.
He played a pivotal role in bringing down the Berlin Wall and his policies were largely responsible for the collapse of the Soviet Union.

No, he wasn't.

The Soviet Union fell for the same reason the British Empire fell. Because the non-Russians wanted out and the Russians didn't want to bother to keep them in.

In 1990, the Intel Community was still publishing big glossy books painting the USSR as this big threat, and they were caught flat-footed when it fell.

The social programs of the 1960's, the start of the loss of control of the fiat currency in 1971, the political correctness/diversity/affirmative action/feminism edicts caused shifts in economics and GDP growth throughout the 1970's. And Social Security was having problems as many people were retiring from another generation. Nixon with his Watergate issue and Ford/Carter being ineffective got us to Reagan. He was the greatest first term President in my opinion since I started voting in 1976. And I did not even vote for him. I voted for John Anderson. I voted for Reagan in 1984 due to his first term. The second term not as good. It had its good moments though. And as we know now, we ended up with globalist George Sr. as his successor. Went right to war after the Soviet Union official collapse.

We did, but one had nothing to do with the other,

I voted for Reagan in the 1976 primary when he ran against Ford. Was not happy with the Bush selection as VP in 1980 and that came back to bite us. I was hoping RR would have gone with Richard Schweiker again like in 1976. But hind sight is 20/20.

Saw it this past Sunday. Enjoyed it There was a lot of ground to cover and they did not mention his brief run in 1968 or his Oxford debate in 1967 with Robert Kennedy.

He also knew how to handle Iran.

Well, he handled them based on reputation and with some help. There is a great deal more behind this situation based on what I have read but I don't want to drill down too far. In short, it was a time in which real and relentless patriotism assisted him in his victory. In the capitalism vs communism battle for Mans soul, it.was criitcal that Reagan won. We are all so much better off for his eight years in office.

Just to drill down:

Reagan didn't give Iran tons of cash and nuclear weapons capability.

Compared to the assclown commies we have now?

There couldn't be a more stark juxtaposition.

I am not a fan of Bidens handling of Iran. We are reminded, yet again of what nations such as Iran do when emboldened and enriched. The situation and the times are different though. The American hostages were around.the clock news, there.were no internet distractions and all three news networks at the time.covered the hostage situation. Americans cared more,.were more proud. You couple that with a poor term that Carter had and those behind the scenes communicating with Irans government (yep) to make it look worse for Carter and better for Reagan when he won, and you had a perfect storm.
