Is there anyone here from Iowa? And if so, do you know anything about this story? It seems to be short on details. If you know more than what's presented in the article, please share it—I'm curious. All I really know is that it involves an illegal alien who held a woman against her will and tortured her.

FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa (WKRC) - A student saved their mother's life on Wednesday after handing a bus driver a note that had "Call 911" written on it.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, a student from Sumner-Fredericksburg School, located in Fayette County, Iowa, handed a bus driver a note reading "Call 911," at 7:24 a.m., prompting deputies to respond to a rural residence in Westgate, Iowa.

There, deputies discovered the student's mother was allegedly being held against her will by 29-year-old Glenroy Stefand Miller, originally from the Bahamas. Miller was taken into custody on domestic abuse assault and obstructing emergency communication charges after allegedly taking the victim's phone.

Authorities said further investigation revealed Miller had assaulted the victim throughout the night, threatened her with a knife and prevented her from seeking medical help. He faces multiple charges, including the following, according to the sheriff's office:
