july 10 2025 HUNTSVILLE, Texas (KTRK) -- A man who alleged a hate crime at his property in 2023 has been detained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Agents with the FBI and the Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Mario Roberson Thursday morning.

Roberson is facing twelve charges linked to a June 2023 deadly arson at his rental property in Huntsville, and could possibly spend his life in prison.

ABC13 first reported on Roberson in May 2023 after he claimed racist graffiti had been spray-painted on the home. He implied alleged racism in the neighborhood's HOA was to blame for the incident, which he went on to speak about in a press conference.

An unsealed federal indictment alleges Roberson orchestrated both the graffiti and deadly arson in a bungled attempt to collect insurance money. The document states Roberson allegedly hired a relative to carry out the arson, who enlisted two other men to assist.

The FBI UCR shows proof of that annually. More than 26 whites have been convicted of fraud. So try not using one incident to make claims about all blacks because the OP is a white supremacist; therefore, I can use him as an example to claim that every white person is a white supremacist.

Whites do commit more fraud, but you kind of refute your own argument with these statistics. Since the current population has 4 times as many whites as blacks, it shows blacks commit fraud twice as often per capita. The whole argument is silly, but statistics are fact. Now if you want to continue to fight, you can safely say it is probable that the dollar amount of fraud committed per capita by whites is larger.

Records of reported crime are records of victims who contact the police. We cannot assume that existing data on crime is a full account of crime or criminal activity.
