And now the NATO summit this week. Oh boy.

NATO has outlived its usefulness.

I'm good with Europe remaining in it and the U.S. being released from any obligations. It is now large enough and has enough member nations that the U.S. is not really needed.

Except their funding is needed (or so the others think). The other issue is that if you don't stay with the bribes, they might just jump over to Putin's side.

Perfect opportunity for a “Putin” False Flag

The EU is disjointed without the "steel spine" of the US.

I agree with you. In my opinion if pres. Trump takes the lead & opens up with quality/SINCERE ambassadorship towards Russia we all may be pleasantly surprised @ the outcome. My priority concern is directed @ the loss of human life in the ongoing conflict between Russia & Ukraine, ESPECIALLY the little tykes & their mommas. Then there are the combatants(military personnel) on both sides that often end up prematurely dead or maimed for life @ best. We are all aware of the tragedies of two world wars & endless other conflicts & for what? We still have conflicts all over the planet. Humanity is STILL playing with the insanity clause; "...doing the same thing over & over & over again & then expecting different results". Yeah, pull out of NATO & work with the major players towards a peaceful existence & beneficial exchange. Just got to get rid of the power & control(PC) sociopaths that want to own the world & we can do it, maybe?

I wonder if it was scheduled or it is an emergency meeting to figure out how to deal with a president who no longer is able to function.

They've grown complacent, and reliant, on U.S. leadership and funding. It's a waste of money but the military industrial complex is dependant on it.

The world is fast becoming a very dangerous place.
Hot spots are popping up all over the globe.
If the US dollar collapses its a brand new ball game.
I'm not sure how this decade will turn out...

I'm betting they will get involved in Russia and Ukraine before the election. They will need to lock in some kind of commitment before trump shows up wanting to pull out of nato and try to bring peace to Russia and Ukraine.

Trump doesn't like deadbeat organizations that leech off America and Trump doesn't like war.

As America is daft enough to pay over the odds, NATO will continue to take.

I watched Biden speak at the NATO summit. He used his typical "angry old man" voice and mumbled a few times, but didn't make any major fuckups like dropping his pants and crapping on the stage..

Of course, he was reading the whole thing off the teleprompter and when it was time to present the NATO Secretary General with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, he read the cue "Ask the military.." off the teleprompter, which was his direction to have the officer walk to the stage with the medal.

Just another reason for a bunch of useless pandering leaders to waste a bunch of money and resources for media soundbites and photo opportunities.

This is the Super Bowl of graft. These European countries have not seen war since WWII, and this is their way of paying us back.

Biden had to push Russia into a war with Ukraine and bring the world to the brink of nuclear war in order to accomplish what Trump started out to do: Make NATO members pay their fair share.
