Florida man flees alligator, then attacks deputies before being shot dead

"The fact that he was bitten by an alligator, significantly, and still continued his rampage, is shocking," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.
The call to the sheriff's office came in the early morning: A man had been spotted in alligator-infested waters in central Florida. Despite being bitten, he refused the offer of a life preserver and managed to swim across the whole of the lake, where his erratic behavior continued as police arrived: growling at others, attempting to break into a vehicle and charging, garden shears in hand, at deputies.

Shortly after, the man was dead — shot multiple times by police as he tried to take a weapon from their vehicle, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said at a news conference Monday. Judd identified the man as Timothy Schulz, 42, who had a history of drug-related arrests and had only recently been released from Polk County Jail on charges of methamphetamine possession, according to the sheriff's office.

A man with Maga-induced insanity.

Really, this was a mercy killing.

Where does it say he was anything to do with MAGA?

Looks like it was meth induced insanity to me.

And for fuck's sake- it's just an interesting bit of news- does everything have to have a political tag on it?

All y'all are nuts.

I image bacterial infections and bite trauma is the worry with alligators, not rabies.

Why Alligators Are Resistant to Rabies:

  1. Rabies is a mammalian disease: The rabies virus requires a warm-blooded host to replicate effectively. Alligators, being cold-blooded reptiles, do not provide the right environment for the virus to thrive

  2. Low body temperature: Alligators have a much lower and variable body temperature compared to mammals. This makes it extremely difficult for the rabies virus to survive and multiply

  3. Different immune systems: Reptilian immune systems differ significantly from those of mammals. While not fully understood, these differences likely contribute to their resistance to rabies

  4. Rare exposure: Alligators rarely interact with common rabies carriers like raccoons or bats in a way that would lead to infection. Even if bitten, the virus would likely not survive in their system

You sound triggered. Feel guilty?

It ALWAYS has to do with it for TDSers like dblack and John Edgar Slow Horses. Trump is literally all they think about. He owns them.
I don't see any reason to watch threads where either of those jerks are posting.

If they haven't derailed the thread in their first post, they will in the second.
