Can you re‑write it from aThe book appears to be about the time the Confederacy hired those Russian mercenaries with their PPSh-41 sub machine guns, at the Battle of Brokedick Creek.
The Rebs would have won that battle if the Yankees hadn't had that division of German SS troops fighting on their side. Plus there was the well-known and documented fact that the Russian mercenaries defected after the Rebs failed to make good their promise of free pelmeni and borscht. Nobody south of the Mason-Dixon line could even cook those because they'd never even heard of them before.
