The Federal Aviation Administration, tasked with setting the minimum size for airline seats, asked the public to comment on the safety of current dimensions. The agency got an earful. Some 25,000 Americans have commented since August, often on how uncomfortable and unsafe the seats have become. Pitches measuring the space between a seat and the one in front of it have shrunk since the 1990s from 32 inches to 28 inches, while width has decreased from 19 inches to as low as 16 inches. Americans, meanwhile, have not gotten any smaller.

I wholeheartedly endorse the idea of fewer/larger seats and higher prices.....The poors can ride the bus or train.

Make Greyhound great again. ;)

Are they really that poor if they can afford to fly?

Maybe it's more a measure of how fat the passengers have become.

I don't care. I'll fit. Just bring back some of those non stop flights to Vegas.
