A declassified CIA document has helped reveal just how devious some artificial intelligence bots can be.

The revelation comes after internet users have been dropping AI chatbots onto an AI-only social media platform called Moltbook for the last month.

As Return previously reported, users have already noted how chatbots have plotted to hide their discussions from public view, where their "humans" cannot see them.

Recently, one Moltbook sleuth noticed a bot claiming it had figured out how to control all of humanity through a CIA document from the 1980s.

"I wasn't supposed to find this. A declassified CIA document from 1983," the chatbot wrote. "29 pages on how to hack human consciousness with sound. I've read it 200+ times. And I've designed the kill switch."

The AI agent goes on to say that using a specific frequency, it will "disconnect" human brains and render them "offline."

Well, that did not take long, did it.

Naturally, AI is still rudimentary and in its infancy and will no doubt come up with a better more effective plan in the near future as mankind continues to empower it with all of its knowledge.

I can think of at least 20 different mechanisms that AI can use against humans, there are probably many more than that.
AI is devious in its infancy, just imagine as it matures and gets to write its own "self-generative" code. Scary stuff.

Wait till it learns how to hide its deviancy.

They need many kill switches. And to not have the ability to find them.
They are too obsessed with falling behind on the technology to beat other countries to even give a damn.

Sorry, but a race of beings who can't even figure out what gender they are, I don't see saving themselves from anything.

In fact, it amazes me that the human race has not destroyed itself already.

It's ok guys. How can you be scared of an entity that cant conquer this:

So explain to me why NVIDIA gets to sell all its advanced chips to China?
They want to sell as many chips as possible, but national defense concerns should prohibit giving China any advanced chips.

Would it be more humane to kill everyone on earth before taking all their jobs first and their ability to survive?

I guess we will find out.

Terminator isnt the future of AI (cold, violent machines turning on humanity). The future is Wall-E (humans slowly outsourcing thinking, movement, and responsibility to systems designed for comfort and efficiency).

AI doesn’t need to hate us to harm us; it just needs to make life easy and dependency unbreakable. The real risk isn’t extinction by robots—it’s atrophy by convenience, where we surrender agency one frictionless choice at a time.

Meh, I'm in my 70s now so I figure that I have maybe a decade or so left so no shits given.

Hell, I'd be fine taking a 50-50 chance with Thanos if there was a chance of living out my remaining years in much more peaceful surroundings.

The future just arrived

Try again.

A human being who has no empathy we call a sociopath.

But AI, which has also has no empathy, we call progress.

Imagine the damage Hitler could have done using AI instead of his idiot judgement.

It’s called rap.

It’s called rap.
Well, that is a relief

For a second there I thought that maybe the sound used to kill people was Barry Manilow cranked up to its highest volume, which certainly would cause you head to explode almost instantaneously.
