What do you think about this?
How Stand Your Ground Relates To George Zimmerman
“If George Zimmerman was not engaged in an unlawful activity and was attacked in any place where he had a right to be, he had no duty to retreat and had the right to stand his ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he reasonably believed that it was necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.”

It's very true that Zimmerman's narrative holds that he never had the opportunity to retreat, and thus SYG was not relevant to his specific defense.

Yes I saw that. Did you read the rest?
It’s a lot more of a problem for the folks they stood against. Bullet holes have consequences.I will say Florida has got some serious problems with their gun laws. It's true that Zimmerman did not invoke it, but the 'Stand Your Ground' law has been something of a problem for them for a few years
