Blame it on Rush Limbaugh. He just loved the way the term "librull" sounded on the radio when he said it. So he started calling everyone he disagreed with a liberal. He would call socialists and communists liberal even though those ideologies are about as anti-liberal as you can get. And unfortunately the falsehood bled into our country's terminology.

It's Limbaugh's fault.
