It was the last great tank battle of the 20th century....Hard to believe the war was 35 years ago. I feel old.

Indeed.....I had a co-worker at DuPont who was a M1 gunner during that operation.

He told me that they damn near ran over one dug-in RG T-72 and had to back up to kill it....He thought it might have already been abandoned.

He didn't remember ever seeing a T-72 maneuvering but he did kill a few APCs (armored personnel carriers) out in the open that were trying to get away.
